A very scarce WWII MkII/ Mk2 (early type) Practice Hand Grenade. Excellent condition. Original blue paint on the cast-steel "pineapple" body. M10 screw-in fuse with short spoon and dust shield. Spoon is marked "M10 / P.A. Lot / 1139-8". The only markings on the steel body is a "V".

The pre-war and early war versions differ from most of the hand grenades produced during WW2 in the following ways:
  • Base is narrower than later production.
  • Slightly taller (approximately .08")
  • Shoulder profile is less angluar
  • Segment grooves are more narrow and not as deep. They also extend all the way from the shoulder to the top of the neck.

    • These grenades are getting extremely scarce, so don't let this one get away!!
